About Abode
Renting in the UK runs on group chats, missed certificates and 9pm phone calls. Abode is the calm alternative.
The problem
A single tenancy involves four people — a landlord, a tenant, a contractor and often an agent — and today they’re scattered across texts, inboxes and spreadsheets. Repairs get lost. Certificates expire. Deposits get disputed. Everyone is working from a different, half-remembered version of the truth.
What we’re building
Abode puts every property, tenant, repair, document and message in one place — and it’s built around the way UK lettings actually work, with deposit-scheme tracking, Renters’ Rights Act-ready notices and Awaab’s Law repair timelines built in rather than bolted on.
Our principles
- Free for tenants, always. The people with the least power in renting shouldn’t have to pay to be heard.
- Honest pricing. Clear fees, no lock-in, no surprises.
- Built for the law. Compliance shouldn’t be an afterthought when it’s the thing that gets people fined — or hurt.
Where we are
Abode is independent and built in the UK. We’re in beta and growing carefully — getting the fundamentals right for real landlords, tenants and contractors before we scale.
